WHEN A CHRISTIAN HEARS THE WORD PROCLAIMED IT IS A THRILL TO THE SOUL! Last night I spoke at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Austin and I also heard the other speaker, Dr. John Adolph. As he preached the Word, explaining the text and encouraging our faith, the congregation was BLESSED! I was blown away by the anointed preaching. The Word builds our faith and blesses our soul- there is NO SUBSTITUTE for what the Word can do for our souls! ~jkb

LAST SUNDAY’S SERMON NOTES:
“SATURATED IN SCRIPTURE”
(2 Timothy 3:14-16)
John Wesley: “I am a creature of a day, passing through life as an arrow through the air. I am a spirit come from God, and returning to God: just hovering over the great gulf; till, a few moments hence, I am no more seen; I drop into an unchangeable eternity! I want to know one thing – the way to heaven! God Himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God!”
THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD JUSTIFIES THE STUDY OF THE BIBLE (v.16)
Adrian Rogers: “You will never be a great Christian until you come to the unshakeable conviction that the Bible is the Word of God.”
THE PRIVILEGES OF GOD’S WORD JUSTIFY THE STUDY OF THE BIBLE (v. 16)
Greg Laurie: “Success or failure in the Christian life depends on how much of the Bible you get into your heart and mind on a daily basis and how obedient you are to it.”
