THE WORD AND FAITH

Reading a portion of Scripture as a part of our daily meeting with God enhances our prayer time. Then, when we pray it is with more understanding, having just come from hearing God speak to our “inner man” through the words of the Bible. Like Isaiah, when the fire from the altar of heaven touched his lips, he was much more responsive to spiritual truth.  As we respond to God after we have spent time in His word, our hearts are prepared to pray with greater faith. “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.'” (Isaiah 6:8)
