PRAYING LIKE JESUS

“Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25)

Jesus intercedes forever! The Lutheran evangelist Armin Gesswein once wrote, “God in His sovereign majesty has chosen to work by prayer. It is His eternal method. It is number one with Him. It was number one with Jesus when He was here on earth. He not only prayed about everything, He did everything by prayer. It is number one now with Jesus on the throne, where He ‘ever lives to make intercession for us’.” It is impossible to miss the significance of praying for others, especially when we recognize the importance Jesus Himself placed upon the ministry of intercession. With Him as the model, we real#27ize we are never more like Jesus than when we are praying for others.

1 thought on “PRAYING LIKE JESUS (Day 18)

  1. Glory to my Lord, JeSuS. In solitude my heart’s life of prayer is led by the Holy Ghost to experience and discover the revelation of my God’s righteousness and in solitude He manifests His Living Word. The intimacy, the passion for JeSuS in solitude, in this environment; I worship Him with dance, song, instruments, reading aloud His Word to Him. In solitude I cry out, I weep, I am silent and still. In solitude I commune; I ask questions; I speak my disbelief; my hurts my disappointments; I question denominations and traditions; and pray to hear only Gospel Truth. In solitude no judgement, criticism. I can speak without distracting offending others. He inclines His ear, He answers. In solitude everything is legitimate. In His word JeSuS says what I “do in secret He will reward, publicly.” The greatest reward is being free in the Holy Ghost. If I passion, desire His Will, if I bear the testimony of a life resolved to the testimony of JeSuS crucified and raised, to His glory, it manifests in solitude. The conviction comes in the intimacy with His Spirit in solitude. When we gather, however free in solitude we are, however much in love with JeSuS we are, His radiance will manifest in the individual’s face, their life will radiate in church, in public. May we not be deceived to live lives waiting for a new experience and discovery to come through another, the church. The sovereign hand of our God is on this nation, the church. Do not waste time. Do not waste words. In solitude, be it, a saint unto the Lord. Praise is the name of our King JeSuS. Thanksgiving for my Shepherd Kie and the Living Word through him speaking to this heart, speaking to His people. Kingdom come! Kingdom build! If you have read to this point, I Am, Kingdom psyched! JeSuS hear the cry of your lowly servant, “Holy Spirit, the baptism of fire! Rise the church! Ignite life of prayer!” 2Corinthians 3.13-18 JeSuS’rosabei
