Vance Havner, one of the most quoted preachers in America, recalls finding a hand written note in his late father’s desk which read, “Nothing is ever settled until it is settled right, and nothing is ever settled right until it is settled with God.” The Scripture teaches: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) That’s good news! Because we fail so often, God wants to cleanse and forgive us so we might be clean and holy in our daily walk with Him. Confession and re
pentance invite blessings of forgiveness into our lives. We cannot make progress in our daily walk when we are living in unconfessed disobedience. Today, focus on confessing your sin.
