SPIRITUAL GROWTH – DAY 19

    OUR THEME THIS WEEK-BIBLE STUDY

JKBcircleOn the last night of His life on earth Jesus reminded His disciples that the Holy Spirit would come to them and “He will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13). That’s how we got the New Testament- the Holy Spirit inspired it For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21) So, one reason why daily Bible study is so important is due to the fact that it comes from God! Today, as you read the Scripture remember, YOU ARE HEARING FROM GOD!

“SATURATED IN SCRIPTURE”

(2 Timothy 3:14-16)
John Wesley: “I am a creature of a day, passing through life as an arrow through the air. I am a spirit come from God, and returning to God: just hovering over the great gulf; till, a few moments hence, I am no more seen; I drop into an unchangeable eternity! I want to know one thing – the way to heaven! God Himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God!”
THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD JUSTIFIES THE STUDY OF THE BIBLE (v.16)
Adrian Rogers: “You will never be a great Christian until you come to the unshakeable conviction that the Bible is the Word of God.”
THE PRIVILEGES OF GOD’S WORD JUSTIFY THE STUDY OF THE BIBLE (v. 16)
Greg Laurie: “Success or failure in the Christian life depends on how much of the Bible you get into your heart and mind on a daily basis and how obedient you are to it.”
